Congregational Care

Congregational care is the assistance we offer one another in daily living and at times of need or crisis. Pastors and volunteers are available to help provide support and encouragement when life becomes challenging.
If you or someone you know is in need of care or if you are interested in giving your time and talents to help others, please email or call the office at 541-753-2802.
Specific information about each of our congregational care services can be found below.

Congregational Care Opportunities

Pastors
Our pastors want to hear from you when life changes occur. They can be helpful in bringing the faith of the church community to bear when you are trying to make sense of life’s challenges.
Card Care Team
We have several volunteers who write cards to folks on our care list every month with the hope to encourage and pray for them.  We also have other volunteers taking a meal monthly to folks on that list as well.

Handyman Team
Suburban has a Handyman Team that provides small fix-it jobs and some manual labor to assist people in our church who need that support. This team has built relationships with several of our elderly, disabled, and single women in our church who have been helped by this practical needs ministry.
HOPE
Hands Offering People Encouragement (HOPE) provides meals to families or people who are going through a challenging time such as hospitalization, recovery from surgery, birth of a child, or another difficulty. The purpose is to make life a little easier, share encouragement and offer connection with our church family.
